4 month Kaya, Girl Time, Alaskan Kid "Summer"

Here she is, a 4 month old Kaya.

Yoga time with Mama and Oma.

We had 2 weeks of bright sun-shiny weather, what people outside Alaska call "summer weather." Here in Alaska much of our summer time is overcast and rainy. Here are some photos of an Alaskan Kid enjoying an Alaskan summer.
Playing in his underwear in the rain AND the sunshine.

Building forts with chairs and blankets. Not a bad view for a kids fort.

Feeding the musk ox.

Oma and Leo releasing lady bugs into the vegetable garden.

Balancing act out to a rock island on the Eagle River Nature Center trails.

Hope everyone's summer is going great!

Great summer activities! Love the 'playing in the rain in underwear' - LOL! And I guess it is the camera angle, or you grow some might big ladybugs up there in Alaska. Blanket forts, I remember those! Have a great summer. (found you over at Scribbit)

I'm actually traveling up to Anchorage for the week of the 4th, I hope the weather improves by then!

I am so glad to have found your blog! I found you through Michelle at Scribbit. My husband and I have been frothing at the mouth to move (from TX) to AK, too. And he's all about yurts, so bingo bango, you kill two interest birds with one blog! I also have a friend who lived in Eagle River and she thinks it's heaven on earth. I'm going to send her the link to your place.

Alisha, I'd have to agree with your friend; Eagle River really is a fabulous place. If you have any questions about yurts, let me know!
